This is photographic coverage from an engagement party at Kenza, a Middle Eastern restaurant in Devonshire Square in the City of London. Kenza means "treasure" in Arabic so this was a very approariate venue for Tara and Zain to celebrate their recent engagement with their families. Their roots are in Turkmenistan so a lot of the women had beautiful traditonal evening wear on; long, brightly coloured, stunningly embroidered dresses. It was a lovely, intimate and relaxing venue, but without any natural light and the restaurant's ceiling lights turned very low, it was quite a difficult venue from a photography point of view, but with a little additional lighting I managed to capture the couple, the guests and the details, food etc. This was a last minute booking, but I'm pleased Tara and Zain chose me to record the evening for them as I had a lot of fun doing so. When everyone was on the dance floor together at the end of the evening, young and old -wow, what a great atmosphere that was! I'm always happy to shoot at short notice as long as any other work isn't already booked in... As a wedding and event photographer in London, I am available for both private and corporate events, dinners, engagement parties, birthdays, hen and stag dos and other functions. I do both candid and posed portraits and detail shots to tell the story of the evening in the best possible way.
