Above is a selection of wedding photos from Kerry and Murat's special day at the end of August 2014. From the minute Kerry first got in touch, she seemed so nice, down to earth and warm, and this carried through to the day. I was made to feel so welcome, almost a part of the family -as a wedding photographer it is always a nice surprise to be thanked as part of the speeches, but Kerry had even made a little personalised wedding favour for me to top it all off! :)
The girls had stayed in the Manor House Hotel the night before having spa treatments and relaxing so I went to meet the boys first. They were getting ready at the Stephen Bishop Suiting Shop in Woking, where they had hired their suits from. In peak wedding season it was quite a buzz downstairs so we were given use of the room upstairs. Kerry and Murat had chosen a blue and yellow colour theme so the boys had blue ties and yellow button holes to go with their grey suits. The cake, bridesmaids' dresses, flowers, table decorations etc. also matched in blue, white and yellow -I would never have guessed unless Kerry had told me, but this originated from the colours of the football team Murat supports!
The traditional and formal, but non-religious wedding ceremony was held in the parkland grounds of the Manor House Hotel with the reception following indoors -and outdoors: in the summer of 2014, the Ice Bucket Challenge was at the height of its popularity so some guests decided to go for it using the little wedding favour "buckets". And where the adults lead, the little ones follow...
