Above is a selection of my favourite images from a baby shower I photographed in South Kensington, in South West London, in March 2015. Planning a baby shower takes a lot of time and effort, but Nida,the mother-to-be, had done such a good job. She had booked a colourful, light filled room in a lovely hotel close to South Kensington tube station -I thought this was a great idea: a central, convenient location to invite all your friends to, but no mess to clean up after the party! There were lots of beautiful details to capture that a lot of thought had gone into; little cakes, "babies" and "milk bottles" on the end of lolli sticks, chocolate raisins in "milk bottles" and decorations like baby balloons. I also really liked the idea of having baby shoe shaped photo stands with photos of both the parents-to-be and a recent ultrasound scan. As a Baby Shower Photographer in London I seek out the little details like this and make sure I get you images to look back on in years to come and to show the next generation.
Baby Shower Photography is a lot of fun: you can get some great candid portraits of guests chatting and mingling, eating cake, pouting and taking selfies and trying to pass the quiz at the end of the party! The couple wanted really relaxed, candid coverage of the baby party as it unfolded plus lots of group shots with their friends and family. Naturally posed, fun and relaxed.
